See how EV-X can be installed by only two firefighters in less than 10 minutes
The water mist lance is a true multi-tool for EV fires.
The lance is used alongside sprinkler systems and other water nozzles to beat down the fire.
Once the flames are knocked down, the lance is used to penetrate the EV battery and inject water for rapid cooling, until all surfaces are cooled below 60 deg. C.
Constructed from stainless steel, the lance’s top shaft is
PE-coated to prevent electric shock.
Nominal pressure and flow about 90L/min @ 8BAR
The EV-X barrier is installed once the EV has been cooled below 60 deg. C. The job of the barrier is to fully submerge the battery in water to completely eliminate the risk of reignition.
The barrier is specially designed to be used in very tight spaces, and has been tested succesfully with only 40 cm of space to either side and 20 cm at both ends.
The barrier has strategically placed puncture and temperature resistant reinforcements, and has proven to be reuseable after having been used.
The lifting bags are used to lift or “tip” the EV one side at a time, to allow the barrier to be installed.
The lifting bags are rated at a max lift capacity of 13.5 tons at 8 bars of pressure.
The 3 lifting bags, a deadman controller, hoses and pressure regulator are all included in a set, just connect your standard 200 or 300 bar air cylinder and you are ready to lift.
The unique inflated shape of the FLAT lifting bags are what allows them to be stackable in sets of 3, providing a fast and stable lift.
EV-X by Evstinguish is compact and needs only a water connection to work.
The burning electric vehicle is firstly cooled by watermist and the fire is brought under control. The battery is then penetrated and water is injected.
Once cooled, the EV-X barrier is installed and flooded with water.
This crucial last step completely eliminates the risk of reignition.
Yes! EV-X is not wider than an ordinary person before deployment, and can reach burning EV´s anywhere a fireman can reach.
The EV-X system is designed to fight EV fires in a 3 step approach:
EV-X is designed to conform to the shape of the car. Therefore only 3-4 tons of water is needed to fully submerge the propulsion battery.
The bag is made from high-strength PVC coated woven nylon. At high risk contact points between the vehicle and bag, it has been reinforced with a puncture and temperature resistant material.
